2025 STATE PAGEANT (TBD AUGUST 2024)
 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• PRETEEN: Ages 10-12 (by the first day of the state pageant)

• JUNIOR MISS: Ages 7-9 (by the first day of the state pageant)

• LITTLE MISS: Ages 4-6 (by the first day of the state pageant)

• 30-day resident of Kentucky immediately preceding state pageant 

• A United States Citizen, recognized medically and legally as female, and not now married nor ever have been married

PHASES OF COMPETITION

 

OPENING NUMBER WITH PERSONAL INTRODUCTION - 10%

Contestants are to wear a dress/cocktail of their choice. The theme and color will be determined at a later date. We will provide a very simple walking pattern where the girls will give their personal introduction. Introductions should include their name, age, where they are from and something special about them. The time limit for personal introductions is 45 seconds.  A detailed walking pattern will be provided prior to the pageant.

FASHION WEAR MODELING - 40%

The contestant can model an outfit of their choice. Outfits that show the midriff are not permitted for ages nine and younger. Outfits are allowed to be custom and should show the contestant’s sense of fashion. Each contestant should demonstrate confidence and energy. No custom music is allowed. Props are allowed ONLY if they are part of the outfit (i.e. hat, etc). A detailed walking pattern will be provided prior to the pageant.

FORMAL WEAR WITH ON STAGE QUESTION - 50%

Judges will score contestants on poise and appearance as each contestant performs on stage. Contestants wear a floor-length formal pageant dress. Dress may be custom and stones are allowed. Music will be provided for all contestants. At the last 'X' contestants will be draw and be asked a question by the emcee. Questions will be age appropriate but will NOT be provided in advance. A detailed walking pattern will be provided prior to the pageant.

HOW TO REGISTER

• Complete the online commitment form HERE.

• Send in $100 required deposit to hold your spot.
  Payments can be made via PayPal to sarah.misskyvolunteer@gmail.com
  Once your form and deposit have been received you will received a PayPal invoice for the remaining balance.
  Please note that all payments are non-refundable.

PROGRAM: HEADSHOT & AD INFORMATION

HEADSHOTS

• All headshots are due by July 15, 2024.

• Name the file with the contestant name. Example: Jane_Doe_Headshot.jpg.

• Full headshot info regarding specs and where to send files coming soon!

PROGRAM ADS

• Each contestant is required to sell one (1) full page ad for the program.

• Ads are $175 for a full color page.

• Payments can be made via PayPal to sarah.misskyvolunteer@gmail.com

FAQs

Are there any regulations for formal gowns?

• No. Gowns should be floor length, but can be custom or off of the rack.​

Are there any hair or makeup restrictions?

• Contestants may have hair extension and are permitted to wear makeup. Just remember that the judges are looking for queens that look their age.
